All Woodbine Residents,
From time to time, we remind everyone of some simple things that we all can do to help keep our building safe and properly functioning.
Here is a list of some things to keep in mind:
Unit owners who have fireplaces in their units, should clean the stacks regularly and use the fireplaces safely at all times including the routine and safe removal of ashes. Improper use and care of fireplaces is a frequent cause of fires.
Please keep the front and back security doors properly closed when not in use. These two doors are the building’s main security mechanisms.
Please keep all stairwell fire doors closed when not in use.
To assist with lobby safety and appearance, please retrieve your delivered packages as soon as possible.
Even when you do not expect a delivery, please help to keep packages in the designated corners. This keeps the packages out of sight from the street at night when they may advertise an easy opportunity for thefts.
For building emergencies, always call Pier/ProCAM at 202-337-9000, ext. 11. Reporting emergency issues is a responsibility of all residents.
When laundry machines malfunction or leak, please call Pier/ProCAM (at above number) and Coinmach (phone number posted in laundry room) to inform them of the need for repair.
Please be sure to always collapse and place discarded boxes in one of the three (3) designated “Cardboard” recycling bins in the back of the building. There has been a noticeable increase in boxes that are not collapsed and/or placed in the dumpster or mixed bins by residents.
Please retrieve your laundry from the machines in a timely manner and remember to leave the washer doors and detergent drawers open after use to help prevent mold growth.
Only place appropriate food items into garbage disposals to minimize the likelihood of clogs in common element drain lines over time.
Remember that, per the bylaws, all hardwood floors must be at least 85% carpeted to reduce noise in all directions.
Please respect quiet hours (after 11 p.m.) by taking care to eliminate loud sounds/noise, turning down volumes of televisions, stereos, instruments, etc.
Please try to keep pets from wandering freely in the halls.
